Making your international debut, following in the footsteps of your grandfather, eclipsing the good domestic career of your dad. Away to the world champions France in Paris. I've seen Marcus play in Finland youth sides and the odd cameo for Brentford, but to lead the line in the Stade de France, opening the scoring in less than half an hour and showing there is a future past Teemu Pukki - a big talent ready to come out. A famous 2-0 win followed (another debutant with a family international Onni Valakari scored the second) and Finland were ready for Euro 2020. A confident goal, pace and composure befitting someone with 50 caps. The first of many and the one I'll remember most.
