Chosen by Ryan Deane as his favourite ever goal:

I’ve been to hundreds of Salford matches during the 7 years I worked at the club and this was the goal that instantly sprung to mind. Salford were in the 7th tier and massive underdogs in an FA Cup match against National League side Southport. James Poole received the ball in the middle of the park and saw the keeper off his line, the rest is history. Unbelievable. The footage of the goal was everywhere, major broadcasters in the UK picked it up and it even made an appearance on Australian TV! The goal that sent the club through to the First Round of the FA Cup for the very first time! We went on to beat Notts County and it’s still one of the best nights in the club’s history. I’m sure a lot of Salford fans will remember that goal very fondly!
