October 2012 (the season before Orient reached Wembley). Russell Slade was putting together a special squad - Dean Cox was the spark - a true talent who needed the support and guidance that Slade offered.

I have seen thousands of goals - this was the only one scored from inside the other half - It was a wonderful piece of vision and skill from a player who was getting better with every match. For me it sums up a great period for the club It’s a goal that will never be forgotten by those fortunate to be there.
