Chosen by Lucy as her favourite goal:

Arsenal vs Leeds is always a special fixture for me. As I was born in Leeds and have connections to Leeds United, it is usually an intense 90 minutes stood in the away end. This season was no different. On a cold December away day in Leeds, Gabriel Martinelli’s goal was a beautiful early Christmas present. With games across the Premier League cancelled due to covid outbreaks, I was surprised the game was going ahead. Arriving at Elland Road, the atmosphere was intense and the pressure riding on both teams was immense. On the 15 minute mark, the Leeds defence hesitated, and Martinelli confidently hit the ball into the top corner. I always knew Martinelli had masses of potential, but it was this goal that got me filled with excitement. Martinelli’s ability to make dangerous runs, get shots and create general chaos is a perfect balance and I’ll never forget his performance that day. Just to top it off, Martinelli’s goal was also Arsenal’s 7,000th goal in the Premier League era - a great milestone for the club. It is a goal that all Arsenal Away fans will remember for a long time. The pure joy of singing at the top of my voice ‘He comes from São Paulo. And he plays for the Arsenaaaal’, after the goal, I will never forget.
