A superb pass from Karen Carney put Ellen White into the danger zone whilst staying onside, but rather than attempting to beat her marker by making a forward run, she went for the more difficult option of taking a shot. Stretching out to avoid the tackle, her left footed shot bounced beyond the diving goalkeeper to put the Lionesses 2-0 to the good.
