Chosen by Jon Palmer as his favourite ever goal:

Conference leaders Cheltenham Town are level with Yeovil Town deep in stoppage time.

One of the biggest crowds ever to assemble at Whaddon Road has seen them hit back from 1-0 down to lead 2-1, only to be pegged back again and they cannot find a way past the Glovers’ inspired goalkeeper Tony Pennock.

It’s 2-2, but one goal would be enough to seal the title and promotion to the Football League for the first time.

Keith Knight curls in a free-kick from the edge of the penalty area in the 97th minute.

Michael Duff and Jamie Victory leap together.

The ball bounces down towards goal, but time appears to stand still…

After a collective intake of breath, pandemonium ensues, with both Duff and Victory claiming the most significant goal scored by a Cheltenham player.

Something that seemed a distant dream for over a century had been achieved and Cheltenham would have a Football League club for the first time.

It was a significant moment for Duff, who was officially awarded the goal. He could look forward to his first taste of professional football at the age of 21 and his upward trajectory continued all the way to the Premier League.

Cheltenham are now in League One and under Duff’s management, but without that magical night against Yeovil, things might have turned out very differently.
