Russell Penn: Cheltenham Town v Everton 2013

£20.00
My favourite goal from Russell Penn.
Monday night on a cold January evening. FA Cup 3rd round. Every clubs dream at League 2 level.  A Premier League team, sell out crowd, live on TV. It’s what we play football for. David Moyes fielded his strongest team. Jagielka, Baines, Distan, Neville, Fellaini to name a few.
I had about 15 members of my family there that night. A proud moment. The game was as expected dominated in possession by Everton but we stuck at it. On the Hour mark I made a diagonal run across the centre backs, fed with a great reverse ball by Kaid Mohammed. I had a chance to shoot with my left, so I struck it as hard as a I could and wrong footed Tim Howard.  That made it 3-1. To say I watched it back over the next few days close to a 100 times would be a lie. (It was 200). Things like that is what you dream of.
