Chosen by Paul Lagan as their favourite ever goal:

How Chelsea head coach Thomas Tuchel wished he could have had Michael Essien in his side on Wednesday night. The Ghana midfielder nicknamed ‘Bison’ would have added much needed steel and aggression to the middle of the park where Arsenal dominated and ultimately ran out 4-2 winners. He most likely would have produced something equivalent to his immaculately timed zinger that lifted the 42,000 Stamford Bridge crowd off its seats with just six minutes remaining and earn the Blues a deserved 1-1 draw on December 10, 2006. The point kept the north Londoners 10 points adrift of second place Chelsea who chased leaders Manchester United right to the end of the season but ultimately fell short by six points. Essien notched up 17 goals in 168 appearances in a nine-year stint for the west Londoners - but that goal that arrowed like an Exocet missile remains one of the greatest goal ever scored at the Bridge by arguably one of the club’s best ever players.
