My Favourite Goal From Sam McGuire.

This Mohamed Salah goal isn't his best one in red. It isn't Liverpool's best goal under Jürgen Klopp. But it's one of my favourites for a number of reasons. Firstly, the release when the ball hit the back of the net is one no fan will ever forget. The tie was over. Secondly, the celebration is iconic. But what makes the goal so memorable was how it juxtaposed everything Man City had been trying to do in the game. They wanted the perfect goal. Liverpool, on the other hand, just wanted a goal. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain picked the ball up in his own half and six touches later Liverpool were level on the night. In the blink of an eye, Jürgen Klopp's ruthless Reds had ended dismantled the City machine.
